I really do think I am the easiest person in the world to buy for: I like pretty things and handbags and accessories and shoes and handbags and jewellery and beauty products and handbags. Did I mention I like handbags?! So it puzzles me when my nearest and dearest complain about not knowing what to buy me for birthday or Christmas. I’m unfortunate to celebrate my day of birth a mere 6 days before Christmas. With this in mind I thought I’d put together an easy wishlist of prettiful things I’d be ever so grateful for 😉
£36 at House Of Fraser
I didn’t jump on the Urban Decay bandwagon when the Naked palettes were big news but lately I’ve favoured a neutral eye (and I need a change from my standard black liquid eyeliner) and if I’m going to go neutral then I might as well go for the best and the original.
Real Techniques at Cocktail Cosmetics £29.95
I really am in dire need of some decent make up brushes and everyone raves about the Real Technique ones so I’d like to give them a go. This Sam Chapman Picks set is an ideal starter kit.
Michael Kors at House Of Fraser £310
Ever so slightly expensive for a birthday or Christmas gift but I would love, love, love to own this Bedford satchel. It’s just a classic shape that will NEVER go out of style.
This may come as a shocker to my friends and family but I REALLY want a pair of cons. I wore a pair of my mum’s Converse during the summer with maxi dresses and liked the look. Plus I have found the ideal pair of jeans so would be able to rock a casual look more often.
Would prefer this tee in black but would be great as I’m a massive Marilyn fan.
Obscure Couture at ASOS £45
I blogged about this tee aaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago and still didn’t get round to buying it so I’m putting it on my wishlist.
I really don’t need another LBD but the netting and dots make this unlike any other black dress I own.
I kind of NEED this necklace in my life!
So there we go, the pretty things I’d like!
Photos of pretty accessories I’ve seen lately and want:
For days when you need a floral pick me up.
Perfect for Spring. These make me ache for sunshine.
Perfect for me! Wonder if they could make me a “Spoilt Bitch” one?!
Pastels and polka dots = ideal
Tis pretty. Nowt much more I can really say about it except I don’t have a grey scarf and I want this one.
This would brighten up these gloomy days.
I have 2 necklaces with unicorns on them so it’s only logical I’d want one spelling out unicorn. NEED this.
Urban Outfitters £10
Cos everyone needs elephants on their make up bags.
What do you think of my picks?
Lilies and Dreams first came to my attention due to them showing their stunning accessories in the StockFest closing party fashion show. Jade and I popped into the store on Wednesday before making our way to the Harvey Nichols fashion show. The store is located on the uber cool street on St Stephens street in Edinburgh which is filled with eclectic boutiques. Owner JoJo was lovely and chatted away about the store as I took photos. I met JoJo’s husband Ricky at the StockFest closing party and found his running commentary on the fashion show hilarious!
The luggage was a particular favourite of mines and Jojo’s adorable dog obviously likes it too!
The wide array of accessories are lustworthy and best of all in my opinion there is a range of handbags which you can have customised. You can pick from about 20 different patterns and materials, choose the shape of your bag, change the handles and hardware of the bag. How amazing is that?!
The store only stocks one or two of each bag which means you aren’t gonna see loads of people with your bag.
When we visited the majority of stock was in sale but the A/W collection hits down this Saturday which also happens to be the shop’s 2nd birthday. To celebrate there will be cake and sparkles between 2pm and 6pm and the first 20 people to buy an item will be gifted with a fab goodie bag.
So if you are looking for a unique handbag then go check out their website here
Can’t wait to go visit the store on Saturday and see the latest collection.
Although it’s been a few *cough cough* years since I’ve been at school this time of year always inspires me to buy a new bag, back in my school days there was nothing better than shopping for a new bag.
I’m loving satchels alot at the moment but I have included a few other styles of bags that are catching my eye at the moment.
Classic shape, pretty colour and great price
Quelle surprise I like an animal print bag! Someone buy me this please??
H! By Henry Holland at Debenhams £35
Love the clothing range, love this bag!
Paul’s Boutique “Molly” £56
Paul’s Boutique “Sacha” £60
Obviously I would take the charms off!
River Island £30
Not really a “school” bag but fringed and zebra print, of course am gonna covet it.
Edina Ronay at TK Maxx £49.99
Yup yet more animal print
Polka dot and satchel = pretty much my ideal bag
This bag could be used for years and years
What do you think of these bags? Anyone else inspired to buy a new bag at this time of year?
With The Only Way Is Essex back on our screens and that Katy Perry lyric stuck in my head I thought it was the ideal time to introduce those who like a lil bit of sparkle to Lemonade. Adored by Celebs such as Amanda Holden, Amy Childs and the TOWIE girls, Lemonade sells just about every crystallised accessory you can imagine.
With celebrity ranges from Nicola Mclean and Harry Debridge online as well as the massively popular Shamballa bracelets, Lemonade is the ideal place to pick up a bit bling.
While the TOWIE girls can seem a bit OTT with their bling I think every girl deserves a bit of sparkle in their lives and the Lemonade shoes are lustworthy.
These are pretty classic and the gold adds a talking point. I LOVE these!
Crystal Couture £250
A tad pricey for me but would totally make an outfit!
It’s not all skyscraper heels though they even sell blinged up flip flops for those who want to look glam on holibags.
Whilst some of the prices may be on the steep side for some of the frugal fashionistas out there, these are investment pieces which are of good quality, will last a lifetime and are timeless classics.
Crystal Couture £250
There are plenty of bargains to be had though with necklaces starting from £17.95, rings from £14.95 plus the watches are very well priced as well.
So please go check out Lemonade and add a little bit of sparkle to your life!
*As usual this is NOT a sponsored post
Apologies in advance – this is a bit of a filler post, I’ve been swamped lately and have unfortunately neglected my lil blog. Hopeful these lust-worthy Mulberry snaps will more than make up for my absence.
The orange “Maisie” bag in the above shot is my favourite: if someone could kindly buy me it I’d be eternally grateful!
Just a quick post today.
A couple of weeks ago I was eyeing up the handbags in TK Maxx and came across the PERFECT tan bag, unfortunately the price wasn’t so perfect as I had birthdays to buy for/debt to pay off etc etc
That’s right an Osprey bag for under 55 quid. The colour would go with a gazillion of my outfits and the shape is classic. Alas because it’s being sold in TK MAXX the chances of it still being there when I do have the money to buy it are slim to none unless any of you lovely people out there wanna buy it for me???? Nah didn’t think so but it was worth a try :p
